I have a sweet tooth. So this weekend I tried my hand at a traditional sweet called Balushahi and the result has come out very good. Balushahi ( Hindi: बालुशाही) is a traditional dessert in northern Indian, Pakistani and Nepali cuisine. It is similar to a glazed doughnut. In South India, a similar pastry is known as Badushah.
Balushahi has a easy and quick made recipe. It is made of all purpose flour, and are deep-fried in clarified butter and then dipped in sugar syrup.
